TV4 Entertainment Named To Fast Company’s Annual List Of The World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2019
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 20, 2019) – TV4 Entertainment has been named to Fast Company’s prestigious annual list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2019. The annual list honors businesses making a profound impact on both industry and culture, and showcasing a variety of ways to thrive and excel in today’s volatile world.
“It is humbling to have Fast Company recognize TV4 Entertainment as one of the most innovative companies in the world -- and an accolade we will not relinquish any time soon,” said TV4 Entertainment Founder and CEO Jon Cody. “Innovation is the introduction of something new, and this accomplishment is a testament to our relentless pursuit to bring new ideas, new methods, and new services to a very tired legacy film and television industry. We thank Fast Company and all those past and present who lent your energy, time, and resources towards this incredible achievement. You ain’t seen nothing yet.”
In 2018, TV4 Entertainment released two original feature films and created Concrete Club, an independent film and television studio. They also expanded their networks group to over thirty (30) passion-driven channel brands, and broadened their global distribution footprint through ventures in Asia and Latin America.
The year ahead is full of more exciting breakthroughs, including the continued expansion of its original content studio and groundbreaking production partnership with Full Sail University in Orlando; original content and streaming ventures in fitness and healthcare, featuring the rebirth of the iconic Muscle Beach brand and the launch of Digital Health Networks -- the first streaming service dedicated to mental and physical health and wellness; as well as the launch of an ever-expanding portfolio of direct-to-consumer streaming products that target passionate, underserved communities.
This year, Fast Company’s editors and writers sought out groundbreaking businesses across 35 industries and every region. They also judged nominations received through their rigorous application process. Half of the companies on this year’s 50 Most Innovative Companies list are appearing for the first time.
“Established players are showing the same kind of nimbleness that we’ve generally associated with startups,” said Fast Company deputy editor David Lidsky, who oversaw the issue with senior editor Amy Farley.
The World’s Most Innovative Companies is Fast Company’s signature franchise and one of its most highly anticipated editorial efforts of the year. It provides both a snapshot and a road map for the future of innovation across the most dynamic sectors of the economy.
Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies issue (March-April 2019) is now available online at https://www.fastcompany.com/MIC, as well as in app form via iTunes and on newsstands beginning February 27th. The hashtag is #fcmostinnovative.
